Tournament Information

When-
Wednesday night, September 23rd beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Be online to find the draw sheet and be ready to start playing your match at 6:30 p.m. The tourney will begin and conclude on Wednesday night. Be prepared to play all evening just as you would at a regular club event.

A ten-minute break will be allowed between matches.

In case your match finishes early you must stay online in the playing room at Backgammon Studio Heroes to wait for your next opponent.

Anyone not there and does not start their match within 10 minutes will be disqualified.

Results from each match must be texted to Jeff Proctor at 678-522-0498 immediately after the match.

Please meet in the Atlanta chat room at Heroes. To find the Atlanta chat room click on the "Main" Button at the top of the Player's List on the left hand side of the lobby. When the Drop Down box appears click on "Atlanta" and this will put you into the room with the rest of the tourney participants.

Entry Fee $10 Optional Side Pool $10 Return 100%
Because the side pool has been so small, starting this week the player in the Side Pool going furthest in the Undefeated Bracket will be the winner. There will be no Side Pool for players who are in the Consolation Bracket.

This tourney will award a cash prize only. No points toward Player of the Year will be awarded.

Undefeated Bracket Winner 50%
Runner-up 25%
Consolation Bracket 25%
Side Pool will be paid out in full to player who goes furthest in the Undefeated Bracket

Format
Two matches guaranteed just like our regular live tourneys. This had to be changed due to the length it took to finish our DE format. In other words, if you win your first round match and lose in the second round you are out. This format worked well last week as the tourney finished at 9:30 p.m.

If you aren't registered to play at Backgammon Studio Heroes click https://heroes.backgammonstudio.com/registration/registration.html to be taken to a pictorial explaining the easy registration process. Those unfamiliar with online backgammon should register early and log in to become familiar with how the site works.

Bracket
I am hoping more members play as it looks as if live play is not going to resume anytime soon. The Undefeated Bracket will be online while I will run the Consolation Bracket manually.

The link for the first round matches will be emailed to you Wednesday afternoon.

Making Payment
The deadline for registering and paying the $10 entry fee and Side Pool is 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd. No entries will be accepted after this time. Also, to fill a full bracket of 16 players it may be necessary to add outside players providing I can verify the skill level of the player. No ringers will be allowed to enter the tournament.

Payments can be made by two platforms, PayPal and Venmo. Here are the accounts in which to send the money. There is no charge for using PayPal if you send by the Friends and Family option and there is no charge for Venmo.

Please note that until I receive your entry fee it is not considered a valid entry. Do not say I am in without sending the entry fee. Don't forget to include User Name as well.
